Catherine RolfeCatherine Rolfe introduces you to and guides you through the practice of Maitri or loving- kindness meditation. Maitri, sometime also known as unconditional friendliness, involves placing our awareness on feelings of compassion and kindness, allowing us to reconnect to these natural qualities that we all possess. You’ll be taken step by step through this contemplative practice, as well as how to build a habit of daily Maitri and the benefits of doing so. There’ll also be time to ask any questions you may have.
Whether you are an experienced practitioner, are completely new to meditation, or somewhere in between, all are welcome to join this session and experience the clarity and serenity that arises when the qualities of the heart are cultivated. You can join Catherine at 11:20-12pm for her delicious Meta Meditation. Or for her Mindfulness Meditation at 1:05-1:55pm |

Theresa SamworthAwaken the chakras through pranayama, visualisation, mantra and meditation. Feeling a bit out of balance or just want to find out more about these ancient practices? Whatever your reason for joining Theresa, you’re very welcome!
The word chakra means wheel in Sanskrit. According to yoga philosophy, there are 72,000 energy channels in the body called nadis. The Chakras are the spinal column regions where the nadis (or energy channels) cross. It is believed that when the chakras are fully functioning the kundalini energy or life force can move up the body’s energy channels (i.e through the chakras) and reach the Sahasrara chakra, the ‘bridge to the cosmos’. Using the ancient practices of pranayama (breathwork), visualisation, the chakra bija mantras and a specially written meditation practice by ‘insight timer’ app meditation teacher Theresa together we will awaken and balance the chakras (hopefully!) leaving you feeling beautifully balanced Find Theresa in the Zen Tent from 2:40-3:25pm |

Shani Bella - Womens CircleJoin us in our Goddess Temple and sit in a Women’s Circle Sanctuary at the Norwich Yoga Festival as we enter the Portal of ‘Lammas’, the harvest season between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. It is now high summer and the union of Sun and Earth, of God and Goddess, of Masculine and Feminine Energy has produced the First Harvest.
Lammas is the celebration of this first, Grain Harvest, a time for gathering in and giving thanks for abundance. It is also the great festival of Lugh, or Lug, the great Celtic Sun King and God of Light. August is His sacred month when He initiated great festivities in honour of His mother, Tailtiu. The word ‘Lammas’ is derived from ‘loaf mass’ and is indicative of how central and honoured is the first grain and the first loaf of the harvesting cycle. You can find Shani in the Zen Tent from 3:30-4:15pm |
