Menopause is likely to be easier if a woman has a high level of self-awareness, is overall healthy and happy and is in tune with her body’s needs.
Yoga has been shown to benefit those transitioning through the Menopause – it can help with hot flushes and night sweats and reduce stress and anxiety. In my view it helps you develop an innate wisdom about your body and teaches you to observe the changes of this powerful transition.
Helping you understand that the symptoms you experience are never permanent and it’s how you approach the symptoms mentally that makes a big difference!
Yoga poses to open up the pelvic area, stimulate the circulation, liver and lymphatic system, calm the adrenals and regulate the thyroid gland together with some breathing and relaxation exercises is ideal.

Yoga Nidra’s, I am returning to NYF in 2026 with ‘Chapters of You’. ‘Release The Past’ saw us journey through our lives via a visualised journey on a staircase (in the mind’s eye) & ‘Quantum Healing’ saw us on a visualised train journey to visit past versions of ourselves with our consiousness.‘Chapters of You’ - has a little more focus on our interpersonal relationships, how to cultivate understanding & empathy towards others/ gratitude for the lessons we gained via soul agreements… in order that we can cultivate the same understanding & empathy towards the self (using Jungian psychology method: mirror work). As the name suggests, our analogy this time is reading the book of our lives!
With focus on relationships, but a name suggesting focus on ‘you’ we also explore how ‘you’ and ‘I’ are ‘one’ consiousness. ‘Chapters of You’ Nidra promises to be another deep healing deep dive into the subconscious mind!

The Queer Joy Movement
Identity, Safety, and Embodiment Meditation - 14:00-14:40
Frank from the Queer Joy Movement will be teaching a mindfulness and meditation class that blends psychoeducation with demonstrations. The session will cover the basics of the neuroscience of safety and safe spaces, debunk ideas about nervous system regulation, and explore interoception (often termed ‘the sixth sense’), woven into gentle demonstrations of trauma informed grounding, meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork. Open to all identities, this session welcomes you to make active choices about how to move and be with your own body, explore your nervous system through a deconstructed lens, and to use what you’ve learned to land softly in embodied awareness and relaxation.
