    Calm Cats Wellbeing

Calm Time With Calm Cats 10-10:30am

Join us in the Kids Corner for a playful and calming Calm Cats wellbeing session, designed to help children feel relaxed, calm, confident and connected. Using the unique Calm Cats Therapeutic Activity Curriculum — Move, Stretch, Breathe, Focus, Meditate, Imagine and Relax, this session gently guides children through a journey of movement, mindfulness and creativity.

Children will explore fun, engaging activities that help release energy, calm busy minds, and build emotional awareness in a safe and nurturing environment. Through breathing exercises, gentle stretches, guided visualisation, and relaxation, they’ll learn simple tools to support their wellbeing that they can take away and use in everyday life.

Perfect for children who may feel overwhelmed, full of energy, or simply in need of a moment to pause and reset, this session offers a beautiful balance of fun and calm all in the spirit of connection and wellbeing.

Calm Cats currently runs classes, clubs, workshops and events in a new family wellbeing space ‘The CLUB’ which has recently been launched by Hannah, Calm Cats founder.

    Zumba with Asha

    Zumba withAsha 10:45-11:15am

Zumba Kids classes are aimed at children aged 4-11 and help develop a healthy lifestyle and

incorporate fitness as a natural part of children's lives by making fitness fun. For NYF this year

I’ll lead a 30 minute class in Kids Corner using child-friendly routines adapted from original

Zumba choreography to age appropriate music. I’ll break down the steps, and add games and

activities into the structure. This encourages the children to move their bodies, use their brains,

and most importantly have fun! This class is suitable for ages 4-11 at all levels including

beginners, no prior dance experience needed. Wear comfy clothing for moving in. Let’s dance!

    With Fairy Phoenix 11:30-11:45am

Hi, I’m Fairy Phoenix, bringing a little magic wherever I go. Let your little ones unleash their creativity with a magical activity to take home, make wonderful memories, and meet new friends along the way.

  • The Space

Mindfulness Informed Contemporary Dance - 1:00-1:30pm

The space invites children and young people into a fun, creative workshop where movement meets mindfulness.

This session gently weaves together elements of contemporary dance technique with joyful practices of body awareness and guided improvisation. Dancers will be encouraged to take up space, move in a way that feels freeing, and create without judgement - supporting moments of joy, exploration and release.

Kira, founder of the space, currently runs classes in Overstrand, alongside delivering workshops in schools and the community across North Norfolk.

This workshop endeavours to be inclusive of individual sensory needs and neurodiverse dancers.

Here, each child’s unique way of being is celebrated.

  • Kids Yoga 12:15-12:45

Rhia is a Forest School teacher, a holistic therapist and a mother to her wonderful 10 year old boy.

Recently, she qualified as a kids yoga instructor with The Freedom Project, in their Zen Kids programme.

This amazing CIC, helps to bring free training to adults working with children, to enhance their mindful practice and assist in a more regulated, supported and thriving holistic community.

She brings this into her practice with her son at home, the children at Learning In Nature, and now at Norwich Yoga Festival.

Rhia is great with kids (as she's really a big kid herself), and loves watching their playful, curious and imaginative energy come alive with the classes she teaches.

Expect animal themed warm ups, asanas and a guided meditation to ground at the end.

We hope you and your children have as much fun as does!
