Alex Howarth, a Norwich based Yoga teacher had a vision to bring Norwich yoga teachers and practitioners together to give Norwich the opportunity to experience something special. She has always believed that the more people that do yoga, the more happier people there are in the world. With this as her inspiration, Alex has created the Norwich Yoga Festival at the beautiful Whitlingham Lake, Trowse.
The Norwich Yoga Festival pulls together many of Alex's passions. Being a small business owner she has discovered that while working with other independent businesses that there's a wonderful community of people all in the same boat. Being self employed can be a lonely game, but in Norwich, we're surrounded by so many hugely skilled individuals, it's hard not to create a network of businesses you can trust. The Norwich Yoga Festival creates a space for many of these independent businesses, old and new, to come together and offer their services, sell their wares and meet new people.
Alex has been teaching Yoga for over 10 years. Her passion for it has grown, having starting with a very gym based background her practice has evolved and changed as her study of the subject broadens. During lockdown Alex and her fellow yoga teacher and friend Dawn Kendall started the Podcast YogaLife to discuss how interwoven yoga is with so many aspect of everyday life. The Norwich Yoga Festival doesn't just bring together Yoga Teachers to teach Yoga classes. The Festival holds space for yoga teachers, wellness professionals, life coaches and many other experts, to come forward and educate you in the many ways we can all live a kinder, happier and more fulfilling life.
